Verification of Competency
VoC
A verification of Competency (VoC) is used to assess a person's skills and knowledge. This process assists employers (PCBU) with meeting WHS obligations to ensure staff are deemed competent to perform a task or operate plant and/or equipment and evaluated against a prescribed performance criteria.
A Verification of Competency (VoC) is undertaken on operators who already hold a current licence, or unit of competency, to verify that they are still competent to the standard. It is conducted in accordance with Nationally Recognised Units of Competency.
