Course Outline

This qualification reflects the role of individuals who have the primary responsibility of engaging the customer, maintaining daily store operations and delivering on organisational expectations. They have sound knowledge of product and service offerings. Some individuals working at this level are responsible for supervising other team members and monitoring day-to-day workplace operations.
 
The Certificate III in Retail requires your employees to complete 12 units of competencies to achieve a full certificate. Skill and knowledge outcomes include:

 
  • Work health and safety requirements, legislation and standards
  • Effective customer engagement, opening and closing sales, dealing with difficult customers and complaints
  • Merchandising, stocktakes and cash handling, balancing and securing point of sale terminals
  • Retail store security
  • Working with diverse customer and colleagues

Accreditation

On successful completion of all qualification requirements, learners will be issued with a Qualification, SIR30216 Certificate III in Retail
