Career Development Digital Literacy Program – 2021
Before Rexcel I was looking at increasing my business skills and computer skills, I found that many other classes were too fast paced and not suited to what I required. However, attending the Career Development Program with Veronica, I was able to gain the skills I needed to start my online business and gain more employment ready skills.
As well as gaining more computer literacy, business, and employability skills I also wanted to meet other people experiencing the same difficulties I was experiencing.
I did not have too many expectations to begin with, I was hoping that it would be a course that would run at a pace that I was comfortable with and give me confidence and support.
The program developed my employability skills with lots of activities in resumes, cover letters and interview questions. Additionally, the one-on-one time, developed my skills enough to be able to design my own website and social media pages for my online business.
With Rexcel’s help I was able to develop an action plan for my business, with realistic goals and timeframes. Since completing the course, I have now set up an on online business which, along with the skills I developed, I can continue to run on my own.
